31st July 2026

On the 31st of July, meet us in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield, for a family friendly day out in the woods where you can have fun AND make a positive difference.

Where:

Meet in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield, next to the woodland discovery centre, 260 Abbey Ln, Sheffield S7 2QZ. The show will start here but the performance will move its way around the woods, via an accessible route, meeting different characters as it goes.

The site has an accessible carpark and is on the 218 bus route. For full details please click here

When:

The event will run from 10.30am - 1.30pm. Please join us at 10.15am for a prompt start.

Gather with us at 10.30pm for a Positive Imaginings Circus Show, a nature-based, family-friendly outdoor theatre show designed to inspire curiosity, spark action on climate change, and imagine a brighter, fairer future for all.

Then stay for a Woodland Workshop at 12.30pm, an interactive session providing children the chance to play in nature, and adults the chance to share their hopes for the future and learn new skills in engaging with politicians to advocate for change.

Accessibility:

Our events have been designed with accessibility as a priority and are tailor made to be a welcoming space for disabled children. There will be an accessible toilet nearby, a designated quiet space in case anyone feels overwhelmed, and ear protectors provided for anyone who needs them. The shows and workshops are run by teams that understand that kids all have their own needs and ways of participating. If your child needs to make some noise, take some time away or run around the woods, we understand and won’t be phased.

Travel costs:

Thanks to funding from the National Lottery we are also able to compensate some travel costs for each family attending in the form of a voucher that can be used in supermarkets and a range of other shops.

We'll meet everyone next to the Woodland Discovery Centre. The show will start at 10.30am so please arrive at 10.15am and we can make sure we are ready to go on time.

If you have any questions please email matthew.sellar@hftf.org.uk

We’re looking forward to seeing you in the woods soon!
