Hope for the Future is a Christian charity, established in 1999, in memory of Hope Amy Charity Bartlett a very precious and God-given daughter.

The objectives of Hope for the Future are as follows:

  • Relief of Poverty and Hardship
  • Advancement of the Christian religion
  • Advancement of Education

Hope for the Future was established, initially, to help poor families in Romania and Moldova and in 1999 we began with a Family Sponsorship programme involving 7 families.  We now have more than 50 families being sponsored in over 10 countries around the world.

Our ministry also includes supporting Christian Ministries and Pastors, Micro businesses, Educational scholarships and supply of Christian literature.

Our Mission Statement is as follows:about1

To demonstrate God’s love by helping the poor and needy and to further the Christian Gospel by supporting the work of churches, their pastors and other Christian organisations.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe in:

1) The sovereignty and grace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (The Trinity) over and in and above all creation, providence, revelation, redemption and final judgement.

2) The divine inspiration of the Holy Scripture and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

3) The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen mankind, placing him opposed to God and subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

4) The substitutionary sacrifice of the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin, from its eternal consequences and in the appeasement of God’s wrath against us.

5) The justification of mankind solely by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ who was crucified, died and is risen from the dead.

6) The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling and sanctifying work of God the Holy Spirit.

7) The priesthood of all believers, who form the universal Church, the Body of which Christ is the Head and which is committed by His command to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world; and the care of the poor and needy.

8) The expectation of the personal, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ in power and glory.

9) The need for personal repentance and baptism as a demonstration of the desire to be “born again” into a new life with Christ.
